ActionScript 3.o - WWFC » Jul 27, 2010 3:12 PM » Coding
This was the very first build of the World Wide Fan Clubs prototype site. It was created entirely in Flash/ActionScript 3 and XML as a proof of concept. Basically to see if we could pull it off.

All the colors and imagery is dynamically fed to the template via XML [ Seen Here ]. The idea was that we could skin this template to create a fan club for any client that wanted to use the service. We ultimately felt it was a little too limiting to try and do everything in flash and moved many of the elements out into more standard HTML.

Later versions used dynamically generated XML that was controlled through the administrator area of the website allowing them to change out the main photo, the mp3 track that plays at load, and manage galleries, blogs, tour dates and news posts.
